Pingel gear shift actuator
Hello ALL,
I have a 2010 Tri-Glide Ultra Classic!
I'm disabled due to a surgeon messing up my left foot&ankle!
My Harley Shop put a Pingel gear shift actuator PLUS a Revloc clutch so I wouldn't have to mess with clutching through the gears at all.
I have a severe issue with the Pingel clutch though--it doesn't have any type of Rubber boot or gaiter to protect from road grime or water getting in it! My Harley Shop ended up putting a rubber boot that goes on the clutch cable(half of it)because I did get stuck in a rain and hail storm and rain DID get down in the whole gear shift mechanism and they had to replace it...
Is there anyone out there that has the same situation as I and is there any advice that you can give???
I'm afraid that the rubber boot that they put on the actuator rod is only SOMEWHAT protecting! There's so much movement in the boot that I don't see how it's helping at all!
PLEASE, ANYONE OUT THERE that decides to read this and has some advice PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
