Welcome from NE Oregon!! I am partial to RK's, but H-D makes a bunch of different models cuz' not everybody sees it my way :-) I agree with those that say 'test ride' the ones you are interested in..

I ride a 2007 Road King Classic. Nice bike and love the cruise control. But I have to say that I had a 2003 Dyna Wide Glide with a Mustang Wide Touring Seat that I rode on long trips (500 plus miles per day) and never had a problem. It was a great ride! I also had a Lindy engine guard with highway pegs. This with the Wide Glide's forward controls made changing positions easy and kept the fanny fatigue to a minimum on the long rides. I even did an iron butt ride (1000 miles in 24 hours) on the Wide Glide.

Greetings from NE & good luck w/the bike search. Agree w/others on trying a few bikes for fit - most dealers will gladly let you test drive. Gotta get the one that "feels right" & for me it was the Street Glide.
