New Rider (Birmingham, AL)
Hi everyone. 
I recently purchased a 2011 883 Iron. Learning to ride as it is my first bike. Also learning how to do maintenance as I've been having a few small issues with the stock battery + cold weather, picking up a voltmeter and fast-start box to determine if I need a new battery.
I found several helpful threads here via Google which answered some questions I had, and am looking forward being able to ask things directly.
Oh, and Roll Tide.

I'm from Gardendale but now live in Athens, Alabama. Do you have a battery tender on it when not riding? If not get one. Cold weather drains a battery but a tender should keep it maintained while not riding. If it did not have one on it before it could be going bad if it will not hold a charge.
