Hi, I bought my first Harley last Jan, have driven metrics for 20+ years. Should have made the switch long ago, love my Sportster 1200. My wife also decided to learn how to ride and purchased her own Sportster 883. Its been 5 weeks and counting since the bikes have been put into hibernation for the winter. Hoping for an early spring....

My wife rides her own metric (Yamaha) and has made some long distance trips from here including Spokane and San Antonio. This does not include all her riding around Alaska when we lived there.
Keep encouraging the wife, could be tons of fun with lots of rides :-)
