Default nail in tire advise

Just got a new set of tires and after roughly 250 miles, I got a screw in my rear tire. Here's the question: 1. Do I get a new tire or 2. Can it be patched, 3. Plugged?
Very frustrating!!!

I hate it when that happens.
If you have tubes just run a new Tube.
if tubeless put a tube in it. Simple fix.

not knowing if you have TL or tubes makes it hard
I run tubes in my tubeless rims, so I can just put slime in and air. I ran 3k like that on a rear tire. No problem. If on front I run only as long as it take to get it FIXED.

If it is near the corners, new tire. If in the centre, you could plug it but, if the belt is damaged by the nail you might be running increased risk for the next 8000 or so miles.

Ride On is a lot better than Slime, and balances the tire, too.

thanks guys for the advice; after much debate and research, I have decided to replace the tire. Not worth having a blow-out on the interstate and getting run over...

Had the same decision with my tubeless. I replaced it with new kept the old with 8k. Hated the cost but felt way more confident riding.
