It is usually OK to mix tyres, although there are some who say not to. In half a million miles (not all on the same bike!) I have only found the bike uneasy when I have done it. If you find that then simply change the other tyre sooner than planned.
Not a Tourer, but I ran a II with a 'Lop front til it cracked. No real handling issues, but I was amazed at the difference when I installed the II up front. And I was a 'how much difference can a tire make" kinda guy. Night and day.
if you are getting good wear and are happy with performance stick with what you got. changing to some other tire could turn out to be a $600 experiment. Advice you get on a forum is subjective at best, no science behind it, too many variables. Mixing tires is not an issue either another personal preference thing.
