Default Help!...Rear wheel install on a 2011 Dyna Wide glide

Hi guys,

I took apart my bike to powder coat some parts. I jumped the gun and pulled off the rear sprocket off not paying attention to:

1. Either wheel spacer (they have grooves in them)...my manual does not mention "grooved" spacers

2. The rear wheel alignment adjusters.

Unfortunately, I went to install the wheel today and im afraid the spacers are facing the wrong way (I have them facing the bearings) and I'd like to avoid buying the HD tool for aligning the rear wheel (since I screwed them all the way in to take off the belt). Your help would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

The longer spacer goes on the left/pulley side, the grooves toward the rear fork/swingarm. The shorter spacer goes on the right/rotor side, grooves toward the caliper bracket.

It's a better idea to be certain of your rear wheel alignment, you can make a simple alignment tool out of wire or you can pick up a #08-0368 Motion Pro rear wheel alignment tool inexpensively from Amazon or eBay...

Yeah...Don't worry about that. Hopefully if you have OCD, it won't get the better of you on that NON functional difference.

Well, sure... you could make it out of a coat hanger... but, TOOLS!

I could have made a fork seal driver for my 49mm forks but the Motion Pro 49mm fork seal driver is so purdy, I couldn't resist

Yea, those plastic hangers aren't much good out in the garage, are they? This thread has me suddenly thinking about Joan Crawford!
