Rear tire change - Sporty

So I'm due for a new tire. Dealership has it and I can't decide if I want to try and tackle it myself or just let them do it. Any input on the subject would be great. Obviously taking it to them and having it done will be easier, but I'm always looking to save some money when i can.

The last tire I bought, a Dunlop from a Honda/Yamaha/Kawasaki dealer, included mounting on my scooter as part of the price. And the price was a lot cheaper then Harley wanted for the tire only.

These days I remove the wheel and take it to my local Yamaha dealer, for fitting new tyres. They are close by and offer good prices, also give me coffee while I wait! They order the tyre I want in advance, so just take a look around your area for your options! I've done my time doing tyre replacements and got the T-shirt, so I let a youngster with a tyre machine take the strain!

Having a shop do it has many benefits, not damaging the rim, balancing the new tire, checking the wheel bearings/brakes and properly adjusting the belt are just a few. Pulling the wheel yourself will save you a few bucks usually, but then you are on the hook for the belt adjustment and brakes.

I ended up having the dealership do. Quick and painless. Plus if i have issues i can take it back to them
