There is a big difference between Shinko (soft) and Dunlop Harley (much harder) new tires. I have both new tires, manufactured in 2017.
That is why I always buy Shinko soft tires, perfect grip, they don't last long.

How about some of the dual compound tires. Softer rubber on the edges for turning. A bit harder in the center for mileage...
Oh yeah, reading about Shinkos, they are best suited for lighter sport bikes.
As well, putting South Korean tires on a Harley just seems wrong.
Me.l'll stick with Michelin.

Michelin are French! I prefer Avon - owned by a US company, made here in the UK. Been using them on my Harleys since the 1970s. Reasonable mileage, good ride, great grip especially in the wet.

Michelin Commander II's are made in Thailand.
Agree on Avon Cobra's having good/best grip for cruiser tires.
