Default Lets talk big rear tire talk metzler

I hear the Metzler 880's are great, wear quick, but thats ok, cause I know there gripping!!!, but now I talk to a guy today actually 2 shops and they say the Marathons <880'S> are the old,OBVIOUSLLY and that the 888's are superior in many ways, thoughts, I have a Rocker C, so I will be on a 18x260 rear tire, I wish the Pirellis Knight Dragons went higher. than 240, I rode on them today, TALK ABOUT GRIP???? I felt like this guys Fatboy slim was a street bike, the way I was lying it down in the turns, instant confidence, first turn, I popped a smile!!!!!

Why not run a 240 Night Dragon tire? I run them on my bagger and love the grip they offer too!

Cool

Sounds like you're on the horns of a dilemma - looks or performance! My Buell came new with Pirellis and they didn't last very long, so I suggest you try one to see if you like how it performs. There are other brands who make suitable alternatives worth investigating, while whizzing around on your Pirelli!

A mere 8-10 weeks ago I wanted to fit an 888 260 to my Breakout, despite advertising it was available in the size I wanted it wasn’t actually available. The decision was made for me so I stuck an 880 on instead.

When I removed my original fender to fit a Thunderbike one I found a badger set, three foxes, two dogs and the cat which the neighbours lost a few months ago all living quite happily in harmony in the void.
