Hello everyone. I need a new rear tire and would like to get the widest possible. Someone told me a 150 size is the max for the 2008.

Anyone know for sure. And can anyone suggest a tire that works well.

Welcome to HDF from the UK and seasons greetings. 150 is indeed the widest you will get in there with confidence. One reason is simply that is the widest tyre available for the stock 3" wide rim, the other is lack of clearance inside the fender for a wider one.

All the major tyre brands make suitable tyres and most members have their favourite - mine is Avon! Do be cautious when buying a rear tyre, as 150/18 is popular across a lot of brands of bikes, including older sports bikes. It is available in V speed rating, as well as the H that we use, also lower load ratings than we need.
