Tire causing belt wear
#11
Members are using 200mm tyres on their bikes, but actual installed width can differ from the nominal size and also between tyre brands. As an example I have a 160 rear, but my Avon Storm measures 167mm wide on my rim. On the belt side of my wheel the extra width (167-160 divided by 2) is the same amount as the wear on your tyre.
When making mods to your bike you really must be more cute and better informed in the doing of them! If you don't have a FSM get one pdq, plus a belt tensioner tool.
This is my 160 tyre, viewed from above to show the rear pulley. You can see that the only part of the pulley in view, near the tyre, is the inner rim, however when the belt is installed, that gives me 3/16" clearance between tyre and belt. Check yours!

mark on the tire???
the rear pulley is what contains the belt so you have to set the rear assy in the frame to align the belt running with equal spacing on the pulley. the belt wear could be from the pulley, look for shinny appearance.
of note: align belt in direction of travel, it can be diff from reverse direction.

Thanks Mike

I wasn't confused that is the same bolt that I have on my 2012 Road Glide, with the comments I was receiving to my question it was obvious that no one responding was riding or familiar with my bike and the the install of the rear wheel and how the belt was tightened and aligned so I looked elsewhere for help.
