Default Best Performance Tires for my '13 Heritage Softail Classic

Not looking for the high mileage tires but the best performance/ride/grip. Currently running the 888s. Replacing just the rear. The front is like new yet.
I'm leaning towards the Avon Cobra Chrome based on reviews here. The size is 150/80/B16.
Also, how can I tell if I have the tubeless laced wheels? My tires, front anyway, says tubeless but to fit a tube on wheels that require it. So they can be used either way.
Thanks for any advice, tips as tires/wheels are not my strong suit.

Upgrade to a 17" rim for the real good tire options.

Really impressed with my rear Cobra Chrome on 12' Fatboy. Used Dunlop AE before. Comm 2 before that. Could not source a 200 sized AE past winter and Dunlop could have cared less. No response to two emails. I went with the Avon and could not be happier.

Coming Up on 2k miles....... Great ride quality, stickier than the AE, very predictable in the wet. Probably get around 5k miles treadlife. Former AE was around 7500 miles IIRC.

The optional tubeless "Profile " rims have a smooth radius from one side to the other
If you see a "step" on each side you have tubes

Ok, thanks. Thought it was something like that. Saw a pic of one. Mine are not.
I've heard nothing but good on the handling of the cobras and the chromes. I'd expect them to wear faster.
I don't see where 16s are hurting for tire choices At least not enough to go to bigger wheels. I like the smaller wheels

You mentioned you were looking for the best performance tires. What are the sport bikes running? What are the King of the Baggers running? Answer: 17" rims, with many more tire choices.

Ok, I'll bite. What tires in particular? Like I said, I don't know jack about tires for bikes. Just going by what I see/learn here. And then the big question, is there a 17" spoked wheel for this bike? The Heritage Softail Classic NEEDS the spoked wheels to be a Heritage Softail Classic.

I probably should've said best performance tires available for this bike and it's wheels but I don't mind learning something here so...

The one thing I like about the fatboys over a Heritage is that fat back wheel/tire/fender. I understand the cruisetecs are rounded like the chrome appears to be? Better for cornering than the 888s?

The other tire I'm thinkin' about is the cruisetec. But I'm needing one soon the way it looks.
Ridin' on borrowed time...

My question for you is have you lost grip on previous long lasting tires? I’m on my 13th tire maybe on my 07 Bagger and I have pushed it to the limits in just about every condition in the mountains and on the flat roads with slab and backroads. Never have I been able to break the bond between the road and tire except on very wet tar snakes and oily new pavement in the rain in 111000 miles.I don’t think even the grippiest tire would’ve held.

Yes. I break the rear loose quite easily now since the engine upgrade with my 30 tooth solid primary and 110 ft. lbs. right off the line. It's like instant power transfer with no compensator besides the gearing change itself.
Even on a dry road in a slow speed(1st gear)turn, if I nail it the *** end lets loose. On a straight take off from a dead stop it can break it loose fairly easy. On a wet road I really need to exercise caution. Not sure now much a stickier tire will help in this case. But softer is better for sure and I'll give up longevity for a sticky tire.
It was slipping on the drum of the dyno under peak torque.
