Default 16" front wheel on 2017 touring bike

my 2012 roadking has a 16" front wheel that I think it helps smooth out the front end.
Im planning on swapping my front wheel with a used 16" front wheel to my 2017 roadglide. Is this possible to do?

Im looking at using a front wheel from 2008 roadglide or any other older touring models with a 16" front wheel.

ebay has tons of used 16" front wheel for sale. sometimes I've seen it here in the for sale section being advertised.

Thanks

Any 2000-later Touring wheel will work for you. Get the HD installation or buy the Bearing Shim and Center Spacer Sleeve independently and get bearings elsewhere. Of course, you also need 11.8" Rotors that fit your wheels

The Bearing Shim is needed in the 2000-08 wheels to "Make this Happen"

I wanted to do the same to my ride.

Found that a 17" wheel, from a 2014 Ultra limited fit without any changes.

The 17" does smooth it out.

I am currently using a 17" front wheel from an Ultra touring bike. But I want more smoother ride. I think going to 16" front wheel will satisfy my needs.

For me going from a 19" to the 17" helped in the rough feeling front end and smoother feeling handle bars. I did change the front suspension as well.

If you already have a 17" front wheel, I don't know if the extra 1/2" would benefit you that much. JMO

I remember my 2012 road king. I had over 60K miles until I did the trade to my current 2017 road glide. Even with the 17" ultra front wheel on my current bike, my road king is so much smoother.

I'll give a try swap it with a 16" front wheel. Just waiting for a sale on here. They're selling it for just $100 with the tire mounted.

Hey superglide, did you pull this off yet and if so are the results what you wanted? I'm working toward the same thing on my Road Glide.
