I’ve never heard bad things about them until now. I know at least 10 people that run them and all 5 bikes between my dad, brother and I have them on. The 777 line is great and has tons of grip. I’ve told tons a friends when they ask about must have upgrades I tell them mustang seat, progressive suspension and Shinko tires.

With very few exceptions, Shinko tires are absolute crap.
With that said, are you complaining that you're getting too much traction from a tire that lasted 4,250 miles? I go through $1,800 in tires (three pairs of Pirelli Supercorsa SP tires) in 4,500 miles, just riding on the street. If I get 1,500 miles out of a pair of tires from normal street use, I feel like I'm doing pretty well.

Some of us dont see the value in changing tires as often as changing the oil. Grip isnt usually an issue with this style of bike, plenty of other tires out there have as good or better grip and last much longer than these. My intention with this post was to pass on my (poor) experiences with this tire and brand in this fitment.
