Default Ceramic Wheel Balancing Beads

Changed the rear tire on my 2016 FLHP during Thanksgiving holiday and decided to try the E-Z ceramic tire beads instead of conventional balance weights. Once I felt they were working right, I changed my front tire during Christmas holiday and used them there too. I've had the bike from zero to 80MPH and it's as smooth as a baby's bottom! And that's with new rotors, bolts, metal valve stems and tire pressure monitoring system valve caps. I'll never manually balance another tire again.

I am a bead user as well. As you say, the smoothest the bike has ever been.

Just a note

Many of the tire makers will not warranty a tire if balancing methods as beads etc.. are used,
You may never need a tire warranty but read manufacturer fine print.

I lost a sticky weight on my Breakout and rather than get it rebalanced removed the rest of the weights and went with Dynamic Balancing Beads. I am also a 'Bead Convert.'

I've used balancing beads in two prior bikes, both were perfectly smooth. Tires are needing replaced on the Sportster come spring, and I'll go with the beads again.

I put them in tubed tires and had nothing but problems went back to weights smooooooth up to 120mph yeah I dont run there all the time . I put new tubes and bearings in and cut the tubes to look at and save the beads for future use, alot of the beads were coated with rubber from the tube . I dont know but not going to run them in tubes

I have heard that the beads will clump if any moisture gets in the tire , such as when adding air. This is why i've used Ride-On to balance my wheels. Plus you get the added feature of a sealant too.

With the beads, do your tires sound like a Hula hoop when you start out?

I've run beads in tubed tires for several years now, never had an issue except you have to be careful you don't foul your valve core when topping off, otherwise you'll need to pull your core and pick the wayward bead out.
I understand they make a "filtered" core but I don't know if they'll work on an MC tire
my new bike has mags, so i'll be switching to ride-on.. I've used it before but because it was tubed I didn't get the benefit of a sealant. which also caused me to nearly ruin a tire

On mine I can only hear them when I'm rolling the bike around by hand or when rolling the wheels around off the bike.
