Default Front tire won’t hold air pressure

my commander II on my 17’ RGS keeps losing air pressure It has about 7,000 miles on the tire and I fill it to 38psi within a week or two it’s down to 15 to 18. Did a full shell leak test and no bubbles. Had the whole valve stem under water too. Any one else have this happen Rear tire is holding air even with a nail in it (crap my near new tire has a nail)

What pressure are you testing it at? When I test a passenger car tire I sometimes have to raise the pressure 20-25 psi above the normal running pressure to find a leak.

As above says, it should show air leakage in a water test..........and get that nail out of the rear man, just asking for trouble.

soap it down...

I had a car wheel/tire that did it and water tank test showed nothing...

I soaped it up at the house and found the leak. About 5mm of the rim/tire was leaking. Either the wheel had a VERY fine, VERY small crack(not visible to the naked eye) or had a little corrosion on it and the bead wasnt seating as well as it should. I never did anything about it except add air every 2 weeks.

Is tire valve core tight ?
Is cap correct for valve and not touching valve core ?

Is that the dreaded "tread cracking" that I've read about on the Commanders?

Never heard of tread cracking on these. But I never looked it up I didn’t see that on the tire tho. I’m guessing it’s the bead leaking maybe under pressure when I hit bumps on rough road ??

Soap it up. Really check the valve stem and valve core.

The nail is probably leaking some air as the bike rolls.
