Default Dunlop ?

Any body ever use the D404 style tire? Its the same tread style as stock H-D Dunlop but without the H-D on the side, also cheaper...

I had one given to me when I bought my 99 FXSTC, and I ran it about 7,500 miles. At that point it was pretty well worn, and I replaced it with an HD Dunlop. I have read on this forum that D404's are not recomended for Harley's, as they just are not heavy enough. Mine seemed to work OK, outside of wearing faster than I thought it should.

Default Dunlop ?

I looked into those for my '05 EGC. The load rating is significantly less than the 402s, I won't use the 404s as I want the highest load rating available because we ride two-up a lot.
