Default 04 FXDX spongy front brake lever.

any tips on bleeding this setup?. just replaced the front line with a longer one and im struggling getting all the air out. Tried filling it back thru the bleeders, vacuum bleeding, gravity bleeding just loosening the bleeders for a few hours and letting it dribble out. Of course tried the pump and hold way too. Still have a super soft lever. It was perfect before this so I know a firm lever is possible. Just need a tip or two to get it back somewhat easily

I just went through the same thing after new lines and calipers. I installed speedbleeders on my new calipers which made bleeding MUCH easier. I just kept bleeding and kept bleeding and flushed the hell out of the system. Then I pumped the lever about 10 times and zip tied it to the grip overnight. I'm not sure what that does but many posted that method up on this site so I gave it a shot. It has seemed to work.

Here's the link for the bleeders. They were cheap and a good investment!!

Good luck!!

Just rebuilt my front master brake cylinder, solved the issue on my 05 Road King.
The job cost about $40 in parts, took me about 1.5 hours from start to clean up and I had never done it before. All good stuff because the dealer wanted between $150 and $200 to do the job!
