axle hole?

axle hole?
I was just reading a thread regarding centering afront tire and now i am wondering if i had done mine correctly. Another person had posted that the hole in axle should be flush with the leg, as this centers the axle
The 2010 manual never mentions this. it says install slider cap (do not tighten at this time) and tighten axle nut to 62-67 ft lbs. "hold axel stationary with a steel rod or screw driver inserted int othe hole....while tightening" then tighten axle cap (rear first).
as you can see in my pic, my hole is not flush with the fork leg (off about 1/8 in) Are others flush ...?
