Have been running the Michelin Commander II's for over a year and zero complaints about them. I can't really say if they are better or worse than the dunlops, but I did not have any issues with the Dunlops. These Michelins do seem to stick well in corners and no cupping.
I think they were less expensive than the Dunlops so I'm happy with them. |
Just put em on my xbones (f/r) last week. Dunlop was gone at 7200 miles. Bought the bike with around 5200 miles on it last year. Don't know what tire pressure was run in them but only had 28 psi when I picked it up.

Almost 10,000 on my Com II's now and Still Lots of Tread to go ..
|
Just looked at my Commander II and measured tread depth.
2010 FLHTK Rear with 15K miles 6/32 Front with 11K miles 4/32 I run 36F and 42R. |
jdvorchak,,,,,, where do you measure the depth on your Commander II rear? At the end of the groove at center? The tire pattern is so different than my Dunlops i had before..
|
I measure in the center where the tread is at it's least and that is the part the touches the road most. As close to the center line of the tire as possible. Any other location would yield a meaningless number.

Thank you!!
