1. Toddler Town, East Alton, Illinois

Tis’ the season to be jolly, especially if you belong to a Harley owner's club. Harley riders may often look badass, but most have hearts of gold, especially at Christmas time. Harley riders around the globe are observing the season of giving not only by donning Santa apparel but by participating in charitable events, passing out gifts, and simply having fun. This Santa rides his hog past children at Toddler Town in East Alton, Illinois. Needless to say, these kids were wondering what happened to Rudolph.

2. Operation Santa Claus, Baltimore, Maryland

The next time you think about bikers, try to avoid thinking about Marlon Brando, James Dean, Peter Fonda, and other rebels without causes. Instead, think of the 80,000 motorcyclists who gather every year at Fort Smallwood Park to collect toys for children. The “rape, rob and pillage” image is a bad rap for these riders who are for the most part big kids at heart, which is a huge reason why they are drawn to this event.

Santa has upgraded his sleigh this year as hundreds of Santa Clauses take part in a ride to raise money for charity. Nearly six hundred Santas joined the race, including this “Hell’s Angel” who is dressed as a Christmas Angel while leading the long line for fellow bikers dressed in red for Children’s Hospice South West in Bristol, England.

5. Santa’s Riders, Orange County, California

Motorcycle Riders met outside of Fitzerald's Irish Pub in Huntington Beach before the 9th annual Santa Ride that delivered toys to Orangewood Children’s Home in Orange. The county shelter takes in toddlers to teenagers whose parents have been accused of abuse or neglect. They loaded up two pickup trucks with gifts, hopped on their bikes and accompanied the pickups from Fitzgerald’s to the children’s home. In 2013, their list had 160 names on it, starting with “Gloria-Girl-2-Months” and ending with “Juan-Boy-17.” These Santas rock!

6. H.O.G. Geordie Chapter Santa Ride, Newcastle, England

Every year, riders from the Harley Owners Group, Geordie Chapter, gather at Jennings Harley-Davidson and ride through the streets of Newcastle on route to the Great North Children's Hospital at the RVI to drop off gifts donated by the Chapter along with a check for money raised in various fun runs throughout the year. Who needs reindeer when Santa’s got wheels like these?

7. Binningen, Switzerland

In Binningen, Switzerland, forty Santas donned costumes, hopped onto their Harleys and hit the streets for a charity event, delivering gifts for a good "Claus." Ok, that one was a little lame, but it's the Christmas spirit that counts, right?

8. RideSafe BackSafe Christmas Toy Run, Lancashire, England

Preston Harley-Davidson chapter in Lancashire brave freezing temperatures to bring toys and good cheer to toddlers, children and young adults with life-threatening or terminal conditions at Royal Preston Hospital, Donna’s Dream House, and Derian House Children’s Hospice. Last year, they had so many toys that they had to use cars as well as their Harleys to transport them all. Harleys and their riders are definitely a different breed.

9. Beech Grove / Roseland, Nelson County, Virginia

We all hope to catch a glimpse of Santa making his way across the night time sky on Christmas Eve on a reindeer-driven sleigh, but rarely do we get to see him come down to earth for a ride on his Harley. Apparently, this Kris Kringle prefers the Street Glide twin-cam.
