Harley-Davidson and Marvel came together in order to branch the gap between iconic heroes that live on their pages and the silver screen, and those who have an enthusiasm for bikes.

1. Man and Machine

This cross-promotion for Iron Man 3 comes in the form of a contest in which fans can win a chance to be a part of a Marvel Avengers comic book story with a Harley. Fans could go online and select a custom Harley-Davidson to design, creating a profile and then writing a backstory for their character. The grand prize winner, in addition to winning the comic book appearance, will also receive the custom Harley-Davidson motorcycle they created (with only road legal accessories of course.)

2. Age of LiveWire

H-D has co-starred in the second Avengers movie, Age of Ultron, beside Captain American and Black Widow taking on the bad guys with two different models. Captain America piloted the H-D Street 750, while the ex-Russian assassin Black Widow ran her mission with the stealth electric LiveWire prototype.

3. The Winter Street Soldier

Captain America has been riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles since 1984 and there is no end in sight for this love affair between Steve Rodgers and the motorcycles from this brand. In his second film, The Winter Soldier, the chariot of choice was the Street 750. There were even six at the premiere, one of which the whole cast autographed and was donated to Evan's favorite charity: the Concord Youth Theater.

4. Thor: The Dark Harley

Chris Hemsworth, who plays the thunder god Thor, moves aside as the special edition Harley-Davidson takes center stage at the Los Angeles red carpet premiere. The bike unfortunately wasn't featured in the movie since the Asgardian hero can fly, but it did make its mark with the beautiful people that night.

5. Cyclops' Motorcycle

Cyclops got around in X-Men: The Last Stand using his awesome V-Rod emblazoned with an X branded onto the fuel tank. The powerful 115 hp with futuristic silver styling and impressive road presence was an awesome sight that helped to lift one of the more underwhelming films for the X-Men franchise.

6. The Ghost Rider

The Ghost Rider is an antihero that serves out justice to criminals on a flaming platter. By making criminals stare into his eyes, he makes them feel all of the pain and anguish that they have caused to their victims. He travels between realms wielding a metal chain and riding on a burning chopper that can traverse all surfaces to get where it needs to go.

7. Captain America 75th Anniversary

To celebrate this milestone in Australia and New Zealand, Harley-Davidson created 27 custom motorcycles based on the heroes and villains in the Marvel Universe. The lineup includes the Iron 883, Fat Boy Lo, and the Street Glide Special. Each bike takes cues from the character it is matched with, such as the Black Panther, who's bike is low, all-black and fierce Softail. Unfortunately for those of us in the states, these bikes are all part of a giveaway for residents of Australia and New Zealand only.
