8 Creepy Clown-Themed Bikes

It seems these days like every clown you meet owns a Harley-Davidson. Why are there so many clown-themed custom bikes, and why is Harley actively marketing to clowns? What are we, here to amuse them?

1. The Carnival of Souls Custom Bagger

The detail work on this bike is just amazing, and it features clowns doing some of the most evil things ever committed by people in grease paint and giant shoes. Look closely; they are burning down the big top and running people over with their clown car. Identity Crisis Design are the people responsible for your nightmares. They painted the bike, and there are more pictures on their site here. Before you ask, yes: the head clown on the rear fender has a light up nose which is also the taillight!

2. Killer Klown Turbo

This bike is called the Killer Klown; it says so right there on the bag. Why? No idea, but I bet with that turbo it is silly fast. It probably leaves riders with a huge permanent grin on their face like Jack Nicholson's Joker.

3. Many Styles, All Creepy

The realistic airbrushed clown on that blue tank is trying to be super creepy, what with him stroking a bloody knife and all. Unfortunately, I can find no other pictures of that red/orange bike, but Jack Pizzicara is the builder, and the clown on the back appears to be sniffing rubber cement or something. The last is a peanut tank on a bike at the Grand National Roadster Show; it's the least creepy, even though it appears to be an undead jack-in-the-box.

4. Soup City Cycles Evil Clown Bagger

Obviously, the owner of this bike loves orange, velocity, and evil clowns. Who is that guy on the fairing and the tank? Is his hair on fire because the bike is so fast?

5. Flaming Clown

This clown also appears to be on fire. Good. That is one of the few ways to ensure they don't come back to haunt you after death.

6. Custom Clown Chopper

Is this the third bike in a row with a flaming clown head on the tank? Why yes, it is. This is a custom bike built by someone named Kendall Johnson, and that is all I know about it.

7. SEMA Show Clowns

I have only been able to find this single photo of this clown-themed bike from the 2011 SEMA show. That huge rear fender is showing off some top rate airbrush artistry; too bad I can't show you the whole bike.

8. Triumph of the Clowns

And it looks like it is spreading to bikes other than Harley-Davidson. This big Triumph Rocket features a whole extended family of creepy clowns. There are many sport bikes online to be found in this motif as well. I haven't even scratched the surface of clown-themed helmet paint jobs yet.
