9 Harley-Davidson Bikes All Decorated for the Holidays

Most people ride less during winter, but some folks like to add lights, trees, and decorations and turn their Harley into a rolling Christmas tree in December. Here's a few bikes that are all ready in case Santa needs an alternative to his sleigh and reindeer on the big night.

1. toad6301's Parade Electra Glide Ultra Classic

Inspiring this entire slideshow is forum member toad6301, who posted these pictures in 2011 after riding in the Christmas parade in his little Texas town. His bike really gives new meaning to Electra Glide, with an inverter powering a whole tree's worth of LED Christmas lights off of his 12v accessory outlet. Even when it isn't the holiday season, his bike features LED accent lights under the tank, bags, and around the motor.

2. Emergency Santa Transportation

You could do a great slideshow of just Santa Claus riding a Harley-Davidson, as we all know it is his preferred bike. Here we see a helpful rider, with his bike dressed for the occasion, offering the jolly man in the red suit a ride when his reindeer get a flat. It looks as if the owner of the bike might even be Santa's younger brother, and they have an elf riding on the back to help out.

3. Santa's Backup

Nobody is perfect, and even Santa occasionally misses a present or a chimney, and when he does he needs backup. This denim clad rider is obviously running an errand for Chris Kringle and dropping off a last minute gift that somehow got left behind. His bright red and chrome bagger is the perfect classic bike for the job.

4. Charley's Harley Christmas Tree

This bike belongs to DJ Charley Barnes at K99 in Denver, and features a tree shaped out of metal and green garland on the back. He put it all together with the lights and everything for the Christmas parade in Greely, CO in 2014. Not sure if he rides it decked out like this every December or just for parades. You can read more about his bike at his blog.

5. Littlest Sled Dog

It isn't easy to train a dog to ride on your bike, and not all dogs can be convinced to wear hats without fussing and knocking them off. Maybe this rider knows some elfin magic? Or maybe it is a Christmas miracle? But this little sled dog looks to be enjoying the ride. Who says you need to wear a red and white suit to be festive? Black leather riding gear goes great with Santa hats!

6. Maximum Christmas

The rider of this bike could win a neighborhood Christmas decoration contest just by riding through. It looks like his bike has the head of Rudolph mounted to the batwing fairing, about a gross of Christmas lights, and a trailer attached just to mount a tree on top of. Obviously the kids behind it mistook it for Santa Claus' sleigh arriving early, but in reality it was probably just their fun uncle coming over for some Christmas cookies.

7. Harold Angel

Hark the Harold Angel sings, glory to the new born king! The angel on this bike must be Harold, on his was to go sing somewhere for Christmas.

8. Dashing Through the Snow

That may not be a Harley XA (which is surprisingly rare), but it could be the BMW R71 the motor company copied, or one of the Russian or Chinese clones of the BMW. One thing is certain though, a sidecar makes a motorcycle 100% more useful when the snow starts to fall, especially if you need to bring home your Christmas tree.

9. Stuffed

I know, that's a Honda Valkyrie Interstate, not a Harley at all, and that sure doesn't look like Santa Claus, but can you blame me for including this? Hopefully this person is giving stuffed animals away to kids he meets as he rides along, or is on his way to a children's hospital to give them all to sick children. He has enough toys there that he may have a passenger hidden under all of them, you just can't tell.
