Capital City Bikefest Features Amazing Custom Harleys

Eye Candy

Custom motorcycle fans have nearly endless options to choose from when it comes to amazing events offering up loads of eye candy. But one of the lesser-known shows we look forward to every year is the Capital City Bikefest that takes place each fall in Raleigh, North Carolina. This year's event was no less spectacular, with dozens of amazing custom Harley bikes on display.  

Split Venues

Now in its 14th year, the Capital City Bikefest splits its wares between the Raleigh Convention Center and Tobacco Road Harley-Davidson. Both have their own unique reasons to attend, but it's the convention center that holds some of the very best custom bikes you'll find anywhere.

Diverse Offerings

Part of the appeal of the bike show is that it's open to all makes and models from every generation. Thus, a huge variety of rides shows up to vie for all different kinds of awards and trophies.

Harley Rules

Harley-Davidson motorcycles, of course, comprise many of those categories. They include specific classes for the Sportster, antiques and classics, baggers, cafe racers, big twins, rat bikes, sport bikes, choppers, and even trikes.

Fully Independent

The show is also an official International Master Bike Builders Association (IMBBA) sanctioned event, meaning that IMBBA-approved judges do all the judging independently. Thus, unlike many local shows, somebody doesn't just win because their cousin Vinny is a judge.

Bikes and Ink

Of course, the amazing bike show isn't the only great thing about Capital City Bikefest. There's also the requisite live music to rock out to. And if you're in the mood for some new ink, a Tattoo Festival benefiting local charities takes place in the convention center at the same time!

Stunts and Cars

And once you get bored with all that, a series of motorcycle stunt shows always thrills the crowd. Event organizers even hold a car show, just in case you also enjoy looking at cool four-wheeled rides, too.

Mark Your Calendars
