Custom Harley Bagger is a Street Glide Cross-Breed

Jim Nasi had a blank canvas on which to design this bike, and he produced one of the smoothest baggers we've seen in a long time.

Blank Sheet

It takes a lot of trust to go to a bike builder and tell them that they have a blank canvas on which to design your bike. This is exactly what Frank Mauro of New Rochelle, New York did when he went to Jim Nasi. But, to be fair, Mauro wasn't doing this on a wing and a prayer, he already had one of Nasi's bikes from the early to mid-2000s; although this bike wasn't a bagger, Mauro was confident Nasi could repeat the formula.

Street Glide

Nasi started this build with a 2010 Street Glide frame although, by the time he finished, the VIN number was pretty much all that was left unaltered. In order to fit the fantastically smooth drop seat, Nasi had to cut out the chassis subframe. He also needed to cut the neck off for repositioning. A lot of hard work went into this chassis but it was all necessary to form this bike's silky smooth lines.

Suspension

This bagger doesn't just look smooth, it rides like you're sitting on a cloud. Nasi installed air-ride suspension components at both the front and rear. He also fitted an air-operated center stand. Nasi needed to drill holes in the bottom of the frame to fit an axel in order to install this center stand. None of this is strictly necessary, and that's exactly how things should be on a custom bagger.

Power

Just about every inch of this motorcycle has been changed, so it only makes sense that the engine would be too. Nasi dropped in a 135 CI JIMS V-twin powerplant so, while this bike looks smooth, it undoubtedly pulls like a beast.

One Condition

While Nasi did essentially have a blank slate on which to create this bike, Mauro had one condition: it needed to have plenty of chrome. Take one look at the stunning powerplant and you'll see Mauro's wishes were met and then some!

Flip Plate

This custom bagger is all about smooth lines, but these could have been ruined by an angular license plate. Details like this don't escape Nasi who fitted a flip plate, keeping everything neat at the rear. According to Nasi, "They've gotten really popular. I don't make them for production or dealers, just for bikes built here.".

A Mutt

This Harley is a true mutt. As mentioned earlier, it's frame comes from a 2010 Street Glide but its dual headlight setup screams Road Glide. This the perfect bike for someone who likes a bit of everything.
