Custom Sportster Hardtail Is a Homemade Styling Masterpiece
Daily Slideshow: A lesser known shop from Taiwan that is on the rise in the custom bike world.
Good Fortune?
For most, custom Harley-Davidson motorcycles are a matter of taste. Which is to be expected when you're talking about such a wide and diverse array of artistic expressions. But it's safe to say that we think most people will approve of this gorgeous custom Softail built by Taiwan shop 2LOUD. Who may not be a "big" name in the custom bike scene right now, but this bike's feature over at BikeEXIF might just change their fortune in a hurry.
Special Construction
2LOUD might be a small, upstart shop, but it's clear from this Softail build that their quality of work is right up there with the established pros. But they didn't build this bike for some kind of show or even a professional athlete. Rather, it was constructed especially for the wife of famous Taiwanese musician Zhang Zhenyue.

Form and Function
Which explains the bike's most unique feature - its sharp pullback bars. Combined with a low-riding seat, these features were specifically designed to fit the new owner's smaller physique. It just so happens that they look pretty darn cool, too.

Simple Perfection
Otherwise, there's nothing over the top or excessive about this Sportster's design. But in all fairness, it doesn't need a bunch of flashy features or "look at me" paint to make a statement. The stance and overall look are quite simply perfect, things that many builders fail to pay proper attention to.

Old School Fuel Delivery
This bobber certainly looks the part, but it has some substance to it as well. Credit a sweet looking Mikuni HSR carb, which offers up some extra ponies while also delivering fuel in an old school manner.

Sweep Me Away
The function and form theme continues with a pair of pipes that nearly run together in unison. That "swept away" look also makes an appearance on the graphics and the seat stitching, which ties it all together masterfully.

Navigating the Law
Interestingly enough, adding a hardtail to this (or any bike) isn't so simple a task in Taiwan. Thanks to tougher inspection restrictions, of course. Thus, 2LOUD custom fabricated this one so that they could remove the struts and replace them with shocks so that it can pass the test.

New but Old
They then added a little shine to the front end with some glossy paint for the stock wheel, new stainless spokes, and plenty of tacked-on brightwork. Combined with a vintage-style tire, it all contributes to a new/old look that just works.

Handmade
It might be hard to tell at first (since it's so perfect), but all of the bodywork is handcrafted. That includes the tank, rear fender, and side panels. The oil tank, seat, and sissy bar are likewise completely made from scratch. The latter of which was bent from 16mm stainless tubing.

Waiting for the Sequel
If nothing else, this killer Softail is a rolling testament to the incredible craftsmanship present at 2LOUD. And it's also got us pretty excited to see what kind of amazing handbuilt creation they can come up with next!
