Get Ready For the Salem Witch HD Ride to Benefit MDA

Raise Money for a Good Cause
So far, the Halloween Witch Ride has raised over $12,000 towards the fight against Muscular Dystrophy. What is a better reason there to hop on your ride and go cruisin' than to help them meet their $60,000 goal? This is a Harley centric event but in the interest of the community and furthering the fight against MD ALL bikes are welcome. Pre-registration for a single is $25.00, $35 for a double. On the day of the event, the price goes up to $30.00 for a single and $40.00 for a double. Further incentive to pre-register is that you will receive a commemorative pin for a keepsake of the occasion as well.

Harley Owner's Group
The Harley's Owner Group, or HOG, was started in 1983 by The Harley Davidson Company and has become the largest factory-sponsored riding club in the world with over 1,000,000 members. The Boston Halloween Witch Ride is just one of many fundraising efforts that this group has established since 1983. HOG members typically spend 30% more than other Harley owners, on such items as clothing and Harley-Davidson-sponsored events. Much of the intent of this branding effort is presenting Harley-Davidson as an American icon, with the focus on authenticity and pride in being American-made. All of this is credited with turning flagging sales around and allowing the Harley-Davidson company to grow again.

29 Years and Counting
This is the 29th year for the Witch Ride and still going strong. Getting in on one of these historic rides should be on every Harley rider's bucket list. Every year thousands of motorcycles buzz through the center of town to raise money for the MDA. This event, a favorite part of the month-long Salem Haunted Happenings celebration is presented by Boston Harley-Davidson. Folks come in costume and decorate their bikes all for a great cause.

18 Miles up the 1A
The 2016 Halloween Witch Ride went wheels up on October 15th. Be sure to visit the MDA website or Facebook page regularly to note the date for the next ride and be sure to be there. The scenic ride will start at Boston H-D in Revere with food and entertainment before setting off at 12 noon. The ride will end at Shetland Park in witchy Salem, MA.
