Marvel and Harley-Davidson Join Forces

In honor of Captain America's 75th anniversary, Harley-Davidson not only created a Captain America Street Glide Special Touring bike (named Freedom), they also made 25 custom designs inspired by many Marvel heroes as well as villains. These Marvel-themed bikes were unveiled in August and September (2016) in Australia and New Zealand, and the only way you could get your hands on one is if you (1) lived there and (2) won it during their special contest. Here's a countdown of favorite Marvel-designed Harley-Davidsons.

8. Drax's Unrelenting Harley-Davidson

If you prefer a pop of color, then maybe the Fat Bob named Persuasive would be more fitting. If you prefer the subtlety in riding, then this pasty green and red tribal-marking Fat Bob is the perfect fit.

7. Groot's Big-Hearted Harley-Davidson

Harley-Davidson's version of Groot is both down to Earth and tough. While the idea of a Street Glide Special covered in tree branches sounds attractive, one down side is it looks like camouflage. The camouflage on this bike (as well as the other version named Devotion) makes it more military and less Groot.

6. Iron Man's Courage Harley-Davidson

While Boldness, the other Iron Man V-Rod Muscle bike, has a the perfect small amount of color to it, something about the gold rim makes this a steal. This bike and its colors will scream Iron Man as it's driven down the road.

5. Black Widow's Uncompromising Harley-Davidson

Drax's tribal markings have nothing on Black Widow's Iron 883. What better way to immerse yourself in the fictional world that is Marvel than to ride a sleek black bike with S.H.I.E.L.D's logo on it. The small splash of red is all that is needed to make you the baddest chick (or dude) on the road.

4. Wasp's Fun-Loving Harley-Davidson

While Black Widow is rocking the black, Wasp is bringing highlighter into style. This Roadster is perfectly named Fun-Loving, as it is both fun to look at and there is no way you won't fall in love driving it down your block.

3. Black Panther's Pride Harley-Davidson

Going with black paint can never be wrong on a Harley, yet this is the perfect combination of black and silver to make it look mysterious. If dark colors are your thing, then this Harley-Davidson Breakout will appeal to you. Its other version, Ferocious, is not tacky either. Riding either version will make you a badass.

2. Hulk's Strength Harley-Davidson

It seems color is a common theme with these Marvel superhero Harley-Davidsons. A color can either make or break the hero being represented. While it would have been nice if purple was added to the color scheme, that perfect green shade portrays the strength that can only come from Hulk. Plus, adding the Harley-Davidson logo plate above the green brings it all together.

1. Ant-Man's No Nonsense Harley-Davidson

Ant-Man might be a miniature superhero, but there is nothing miniature about this bike's design. The red only elevates the silver, and its relationship brings out the idea of a man-made machine ready to send some villains straight to where they belong. Yet, what tops this Low Rider S above the Street Bob Heart (the other Ant-Man Harley-Davidson design) is the red headlight, as it is reminiscent of Ant-Man's helmet.
