Top 9 Motorcycle Halloween Costumes

Halloween is coming up, so why not incorporate your bike into your costume this year? October is too cold in a lot of places for riding everyday, so make your Halloween ride the swan song of your season with a spectacular outfit.

1. Ghost Rider

You own a Harley, so chances are you already have the black leather jacket needed for this costume. Are you a redhead? If so, all you really need is some white makeup to make yourself a skull face, like the female Ghost Rider above. The basic Ghost Rider is a skull head mask, red/orange flames (which can be made out of construction paper or streamers), and a long chain wrapped over your shoulder. If you want to go all out, you'd add some red LED lights to your bike, under the tank, and on the wheels, so you get a low budget flame effect, like Nicholas Cage's bike in the movie.

2. Evel Knievel

If you prefer white leather to black, you can go as Evel Knievel instead. Thanks to duct tape being available in all sorts of colors now, you can easily make any white pair of pants and jacket into an Evel outfit, though flared bell bottoms would be best. Don't forget the cape! Proper jump suits are available from many different Halloween shops and online, if you have time to wait for shipping. Don't forget, sometimes he also wore a blue suit with red or white stripes as well. This works best if you have a white or blue bike, but there is really no need to dress the bike up, just ride it. Try not to jump anything on your way to the party.

3. Baby Riding on a Biker

Sorry, but there is no sexy female version of this baby getting a piggy back ride on a biker costume. The most difficult part of this is going to be making a fake head, and attaching it to your chest. If you have a full face helmet with a tinted visor, you really don't even need a head in it. You can pick up a baby sized doll at any toy store and cut the head off for the other part. If you watch the video, this guy went all out with a head that has moving eyes and mouth and everything. When he rides off down the street, the illusion is just laugh out load funny. The full video from FunnyFuse is here.

4. Man Made of Money

This one just requires a whole lot of fake money (or really money if you have it to spare) and some green face paint. Being a man made of money is easy enough, but if you recall Geico had a biker made of money cruising in one of their commercials, with money trailing him in the breeze. That sort of explains why you can find pictures online of this costume with Flo from Progressive and Erin Esurance, even though they work for the competition. It seems Flo went home with the man made of money from one of these parties; we all know she has a soft spot for bikers.

5. Wile E. Coyote on Rocket Bike

This costume involves a bit of work to make a proper head, but then just matching brown pants and shirt. For your bike it is just a matter of a few big cardboard tubes, fins, maybe some streamers or lights, and you've got a rocket bike. If you can get a stuffed Road Runner to hang off the front and chase, all the better.

6. Daft Punk

Daft Punk, one of the longest running electronic music acts out there, have always played in black clothing and motorcycle helmets made to look like robot heads. Depending on how much effort you want to put into your outfit, you can make your own LED light-up helmet, or just paint up an old one with florescent paint. Their outfits are typically leather jackets and black paints, with Daft Punk written on their backs. You can go through the trouble of getting a patch and sewing it on, like the bouncers in the satin jackets, or applying the sequence like the real deal, or just paint it on with a paint pen.

7. Man Riding Dinosaur Riding Motorcycle

This costume looks to be store bought, and really it is beyond explanation. It is a man in a motorcycle jacket and helmet on top of a dinosaur. Of course, when you get off the bike you are not riding around on the back of a T-rex, which is the only thing even more badass than your Harley.

8. Batman

Batman has ridden numerous bikes over the course of the comic books, TV show, and movies, so you can pair a Batman outfit with whatever you ride. Sure, there is an official Batman padded, armored, leather outfit for sale for a ridiculous amount of money, but if you have black leather you should be able to put your own together. Make sure to put the effort into the correct looking gold utility belt, and a black helmet with ears, and you should be instantly recognizable.

9. Easy Rider

This one really needs at least 2 people, if not 3, to pull it off. Dennis Hopper's Billy character needs a brown leather jacket, preferably with fringe, and a cowboy hat. Jack Nicholson's George character must have a gold football helmet, then the white/seersucker jacket, college sweater, can be improvised. If you are going it alone, Peter Fonda's Captain America is the most recognizable and you'll need that stars and stripes helmet, and an American flag on the back of your leather jacket. But as sexy Billy, and that other guy show, you don't have to get it exactly right, especially if you have all 3 characters.
