unable to install bootloader?

Default unable to install bootloader?
I am trying to program my bike with a sert and i get an unable to install bootloader what is going on? help thanks

Do it again. I found that this happens sometimes. I usually GET ECM info first and then try to program. I think it is a problem with the USB to Serial connector. It will eventually work.

NW,
Did you try changing the setting of the com port on your laptop? You also might need a device driver for the usb to serial cable.

I think this happens around 6% right? What happens when you "Get ECM Info"?

it happens at 25%, I can read the ecm info from the bike, I can use the data mode with no problem and the com port is set I am thinking I might need a better quality usb converter. I am going to move the computer from the house out to the shop and try it.

One other thing to try is to open the file and save it again under a different name. Perhaps something is messed up with your file.

everything was installed and setup corectly ended up using a computer with a real serial port and had no problems

I tryed with other computer with a real serial portand work out !
