Default Sert Bootloader??
I am trying to program my ecm with the Sert and I keep running into the message "unable to install bootloader" at about 25% into theprogram The Sert reads everything it's supposed to but when I click program ecm it gives me that message. Has anyone ran into this problem?

Thanks Ultra! I think it's my USB to Serial adapter then. I purchased the one from Radio shack and that ishopefully my problem.

Those dang USB adapters have reeked havoc on amany aflashes. Hope it works out. Post for more assistance, these guys are great and the moderator here aint to bad either....LOL!

had the same exact problem when i used an adapter i ended up using a computer with a real serial port and it worked great the first time.

Myself and many others have had good luck with the Belkin F5U109 adapter -

You can get it on-line for $25 or so...

I used a friends laptop with a serial port today and it worked the first time. I guess I'll try that Belkin one. Thanks for the info Wags
