Normal warranty applies for service performed.[/align][align=left]Motorcycles Affected[/align][align=left]• 2006-2007 Dyna models[/align][align=left]• 2008 and earlier FXDWG[/align][align=left]• 2008 and earlier FX Softail models[/align][align=left]• 2008 and earlier VRSC models[/align][align=left]Required Dealer Action[/align][align=left]If customer is experiencing any of the following conditions,[/align][align=left]perform the service procedure for the appropriate model as[/align][align=left]explained below.[/align][align=left]• Looseness in front end[/align][align=left]• Loss of clamp load on upper steering stem nut[/align][align=left]• Front end clunk[/align][align=left]Dyna and FX Softail Models[/align][align=left]See list of affected motorcycles above. If any of the affected[/align][align=left]Dyna or FX Softail motorcycles are experiencing front end[/align][align=left]looseness, order kit number 45727-07. See STEERING wrong part number, I will post new one when I get it (and it is not 45727-08) there is a bulliten for the bulletin I am told. the part #could be 45740-07 ck with your dealer[/align][align=left]HEAD WASHER KIT INSTRUCTION SHEET (-J04469) to[/align][align=left]install the kit.[/align][align=left]VRSC Models with Aluminum Stem[/align][align=left]2007 and earlier VRSC models were shipped from the factory[/align][align=left]with aluminum stems. If the lower triple tree was subsequently[/align][align=left]replaced on these vehicles, check the service[/align][align=left]records to determine if the new lower triple tree included any[/align][align=left]of the following steel stems.[/align][align=left]• 46771-02A[/align][align=left]• 46860-06A[/align][align=left]• 46752-01A[/align][align=left]• 46788-06A[/align][align=left]• 46781-06A[/align][font=helvetica-oblique][align=left]NOTE[/align][align=left]All 2008 VRSC models have a lower triple tree assembly with[/align][align=left]a steel stem.[/align][/f

Ya .. but see that 2008 and earlier FXDWG.

My uncle's got a '97? Wide Glide ... and everytime I rode it, I felt the clunk!
I'll have to email him this info.

if im not seeing the effects of any front end problems , should i still take my bike in or should i just hope nothing happens.. im riding a 06 dyna fxdi....thanks

no don't bring it in if the bike doesn't have the problem.
it is a bulletin not a recall. its info to help fix problems.
a recall would have to be done, this is not a recall.
also it is only free if the bike is still under warranty, it doesn't extend the warranty.

Could someone define the clunk? Is it when you hit a bump or something? Or when stopping hard as the front end dives down? I don't know if I have it or not? Thanks

Idoubt if it makes any difference my 03 clunks both ways. It is sad that T.M.C. would let the problem go for so long before a fix.
