There is unconfirmed but reliably sourced news that this is in fact the new 107 Milwaukee Eight Engine that Harley is working on that will debut in 2017.

Lemmy over at Revzilla reported on this story by speaking to a test engineer at an outsourced facility who is working on the project.  You can read his full article here where by he goes into far deeper details on this engine.

The simple gist is that the new 107 Milwaukee Eight will be expected on the 2017 touring models and in 2018 they will be included on all the Big Twins.

These new engines will feature a chain driven single cam with four-valve heads operated by a fork rocker. They also are set up to be oil and water cooled with oil being fed from the rear rocker box to the front.

The redline will theoretically be higher than the Twin Cam but capped at 6,000 RPM which could effectively transform them into very torquey machines.

Additional changes have also been made to the clutch assembly, intake systems, and mufflers due to emissions standards.
