Pushing the Limits on a Harley-Davidson Street 750

When it comes to racing, Harley-Davidson motorcycles are up to the job. In fact, even their street bikes can be made into insane power-houses that blast through corners at high rates of speed and kick up some serious dirt. It wasn’t that long ago that these street machine turned race bikes flexed their muscles at the X Games in Austin, and today we’re going to go behind the scenes for a little bit and take a closer look at the bikes themselves and the racers that drove them.

Though we wouldn’t call the build from a daily commuter (or even a weekend play toy) to a race machine an easy one, we wouldn’t say it’s actually too far out there either. This is no specially-made race bike that has been given the identifying title of a Harley-Davidson Street 750; no, this really is the ride that anyone can buy that has just been made into an outstanding flat track racer. And considering that the background of the builders was with drag racing, it seems like they did a great job changing their medium!

Watching some well-built hod race around in the dirt is definitely pretty fun, and learning about how it was done makes it even better. Check out the video below and see for yourself!
