883 vs 1200

I have no issues at all with my 883. If you're going to be on the highway, get a windshield. The detachable ones are excellent and easy to remove in seconds. I haven't had any vibration problems yet. I'd guess the bike will top out a little over 100, but I've only gotten it up to a little over 90. I use it mostly for daily commuting and then, when time allows, a hundred miles or so on the weekends. It's got all the power you'll need for solo riding. I almost always have kid on the back on the weekends and I've never had power issues. Go for it!

since when does 883cc equal 250cc???
go ride one and when you are crying and begging for your rolling couch back then you will have your answer
edit for x2lee
250 is not freeway safe becuase it barely makes any power for that kind of speed.
some people talk about the 883 as if its not capable of riding any faster than 40 mph or going around the block.
883cc is way more than enough, hell race class bikes are 600cc and dont even make as much torque.
