Shotgun is the best option that I have found to lower my Softail. I can slam it when I want to and raise it and adjust the ride for two up with the flip of a switch. On top of everything else, JD stands behind his product like no other company that I have ever dealt with. I am a customer for life.

Default Shotgun shock

My concern is not so much on slamming the bike which is cool but ride quality is.

Havent ridden with the shock myself but have read that some guys are putting on the shock and ridding the bike at stock height and the ride is a hundred times better.

I have had stock, stock with lowering bolts, and 422's. The Shotgun blows them all away solo and 2 up.

Lotjam57,
JD at Shotgun Shock has a HD forum deal going on right now. The cost of the SS system is $1250.00. Don't know how long this will last so you might want to contact JD at Shotgun Shock and for the particulars of shipping and such.
You will NOT be dissapointed with the SS system.
We have it on our 2012 FLSTC and it is so different then stock you will not believe the ride. Like I have posted before, "like riding on a majic carpet" and totally adjustable, the ride height and the spring/rebound load.
