Default BT 4180 vs Arc Moto 600.4

I'm trying to decide which amp to go with for my 2013 SG. I will be running BT 7.1 pro speakers in bat fairing and 6.5 lowers. Trying to figure out which amp go with and be done with my audio purchases. I know the Moto 600.4 is fairly new but if you have any feedback on this amp please post. Any dislikes on 4180? Heard nothing but good reviews on them.

+1 on the 4180 plenty of power and if adding speakers in lids just run top & bottom fairing speakers in parallel and it just gets more power at 2 ohms.
Oh yeah lifetime warranty.

+2 on the BT 4180, should have mine install soon, fricken cold in the garage, but so excited about the new amp. The lifetime warranty was my decision to pull the trigger, in case whatever happens down the road. Bill goes out of his way to help members here.

The Moto 600.4 is on blackorder from Arc Audio. I would expect it will be discounted and much cheaper once online shops like Woofers Etc get it in stock. Performance should be same as XDi600.4 which several members have on here reported great results. Personally I like amps like Arc with gain controls but that's just me,

AAWAV,

Any chance you've tested the Arc XDi600.4 or the Moto 600.4? I noticed in your testing that the BT amps were around 150 watts per channel. It would be nice to see how close the listed amps are to their advertised ratings.

I don't think you could go wrong with either amp. Arc is a very good company when it comes to amps. Not impressed with thier speakers but they seem to do pretty well in the amp department. I'd say their new amp does rated but we can always BUY one and find out unless ARC want to donate the 600.4 to the cause as Bill from Biketronics did when we were testing amps. I just don't think you can beat the lifetime warranty that BT provides which always gives BT the edge. Not to mention their outstanding customer service. What other company do you know that would let us test their $600.00 amp free of charge just for the sake of R&D? Let's call ARC and see what they say. . . LOL !!

I cannot release my resource without his permission, but a second test was done on the BT4180 with very solid test equipment and the results were 165W at 4ohm (14.4V power supply) and - here we go!!!!!!!! - 330 W at 2ohm. THAT's what I call impressive!!!!!

sorry - we have not had the ARC on the bench yet. As Gannicus stated we can test if someone offers it for testing, no problem. I personally do not have any experience with ARC, so cannot speak to their equipment.
Looking at what people are mostly running here (on this forum), it is

Biketronics
RF PBR300x2
SS PN4.520 / PA RZ4-2000D
(there are other good amps out there as well of course (like Cerwin, other RFs, PPI, etc)

I am still running my RZ4 but SERIOUSLY considering getting the BT4180...

You are right about that. Kudos to Biketronics for putting their amp out there like that.
