looking to buy a reckless fairing for my 2007 Softail want is the best speaker set up on it and do I need to use a amp with it

 

Yep - That fairing comes with the polk DB's 6x9 or 6.5. I'd purchase the 6.5 version and replace the speakers with the Moto 602's with a Cerwin Vega B52 amp. If not the Moto's the Infinity 62.11i speakers.

 

you can buy that fairing without anything in it and build it your way. Thats what I did when i had a reckless on my fatboy

 

What did you set yours up with for speakers on your fatboy

 

I put a sony marine HU with 4 polk db 521 speakers. I powered it with a alpine ktp 445 amp a buddy gave me. It was surprisingly loud and clear had no problem hearing it at 85 mph, that being said there are many better amps to use than the alpine but heck it was free!

 

I just bought a fairing for my Heritage from The USA Trailer Store, nice quality for very short money. I'm putting in a Jensen MS2013 waterproof marine head unit, and using a pair of Polk MM651 speakers that I had in the garage. Plenty of room in this fairing to mount an amp under the head unit, I'm using an RZ2000 amp I had lying around, only using the front channels.
