Default Cleaning your bike with aftermarket stereo

I'm specifically posting here because we've so much on aftermarket stereo's.

To clean my bike, I use that Honda spray in the pink can, Original Bike spirits. It's a simply spray on and rub off, all in one.

I'd be to afraid to hose my bike down, aftermarket head unit, speakers, etc.

Just curious, how are you guys cleaning your bikes?

I put the BT rain cover over my radio when I wash it.

Kry. I use shower caps ( you know the ones with the elastic around them) over the speakers in the lowers! I also put the hose nozzle on shower setting, (softer more controlled), if I get any water in the lid speakers (I have BT 6x9's) I just turn the lids upside down and drain em!! Griots Garage also has a waterless car wash in a bottle, all their products are really good!

I don't think the waterless car wash would have work here...

Holy Sh*t Bert...Griots does have a Bug and smudge remover which "softens bug jerky for safe, quick and easy removal", they sell it by the gallon, but in your case you'll need a 55 gal. drum...LOL!! Did the swarm knock you off the bike!!

Try 50/50 solution of water and hydrogen peroxide. Spray it on and let it sit for about 5 mins. It breaks down the bug protein. I was shocked how good it worked.

I have never washed my bike. To clean it I always use the stuff in pink can. Last Spring I bought a new rear tire. The moron at the dealer sprayed the bike and destroyed the radio (which they replaced).

I'm really curious about using S-100 products (I've read mixed reviews) but I know you have to quickly hose off the spray. Dang, I don't want to chance getting my stereo, lowers and 6x9's wet.

This is probably the regret that I have for doing an aftermarket system.
