Default HD14-TKIT by Rockford Fosgate

Was wondering what the experts think of this new system offered by Rockford Fosgate. I have a new '16 RGS and just saw this kit. Not sure if this is a good option or not worth a look? Opinions?

I like it, big fan of the TM400 amps but for $1K I think I'd piecemeal something else. I do like their RG mount though, best one I've seen so far. I'd like t hear those speakers too before I pass final judgement

Now if you could get that kit for around $750 I think that could be a very nice package.

Not a fan of their speakers. Listen to them personally before going with a package.

Looks like it might be a decent kit. At least they paired it with a decent amp this time. Their attempts at putting together a kit historically has been a disaster. I've heard those speakers and they don't sound too bad. Problem is the bang for the buck. You can do better for the money.

Not a fan. For the money.. you could put together a way better sounding system. But thats just my opinion. My ears don't like their sound haha

Rockford Fosgate just announced all new kits - including the HD14-TKIT - using newly engineered speakers, specifically designed for HD.

These new water/weather resistant 2-way speakers, with a 25mm dome tweeter and a midrange with a poly cone and Santoprene surround. Yesterday we launched a full explanation page here:
http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/motorcycleaudio/

We'll also be at Sturgis Motorcycle Rally (2nd & Lazelle) so you can actually listen to these new speakers for yourself on both RG & SG bikes.

Well I will be in Sturgis and will let everyone know what I think. I do appreciate every ones thoughts though. I have been trolling the audio forum for 2 months now and your guys wealth of knowledge is awesome. I have heard some people make good comments about the amp, but I didn't know anything about the speakers.

Appreciate that! It would be great to meet with you and hear your thoughts. Our staff will be there to answer any questions you have on how they are tested, built or designed.

We'll have the following bikes at Sturgis:

1. Road Glide 1998
2. Street Glide 1998
3. Road Glide 2015
4. Street Glide 2014

We think these new speakers will blow everyone away. They are NOT car speakers rebadged for motorcycles. Our NPD group actually took Wind Noise measurements at 10 MPH increments up to 70 MPH and custom tailored these speakers around that noise. For example, we found 108dB road noise at 70MPH between 105-110Hz! Even down to the alignment pins for the speakers ... no need to shave those off anymore.

Forgot to mention... say you're one of the HD FORUM members and we'll give you a free goodie pack!

Certainly looking forward to hearing both yours and others opinions regarding the RF HD14-TKIT. Agree that $1k is expensive but between guarenteed fit and finish with one stop shopping...I find that pretty appealing. I can say for certain that I find the OEM speakers pretty poor at best. Something will need to change.
