Does anyone know what gauge the speaker wires in the BTBOC Breakout Connector are in this kit? Just curious because my amp has 8 ga. screw in connectors for the speaker outputs and I want to make sure it will work with the kit.

 

I haven't had the BOH in hand so I can't say for sure. BT uses a good quality 14ga for speaker wire. So I suspect the wire going from the BOH to the amp is about the same. You can take a Non-insulated butt connector and solder or crimp it onto the end of the 14ga so the amp connector had something to bite onto.

 

No bigger than 16 awg speaker wire from the BOH to the amp, if I was a betting man.

What amp are you using that has 8awg speaker connectors? Holy cow that's huge speaker wire. I run 16.

 

I picked up a SS TN4.900D pretty cheap to start with and according to the "manual" the power and speaker connections are both 8 ga. Haven't actually measured them to see if that's true or not as that just arrived a couple of days ago.

 

They're not 8awg

I'm gonna say 14....12 tops.

Thanks. I'll check them closer when its time to install and make sure I get the right size connectors for the wire ends. I subscribed to the connectors thread so I can find what I need when the time comes.
