Default Wiring AW6.5 & Tweet Question

I've read here to wire this combo in parallel. In other words, the AW6.5 and the TXO-HP directly off amp Pos & Neg speaker connection. My question is, wouldn't that be like any two speakers running in parallel and drop the resistance down to a 2 ohm load to amp? And, would this combo benefit from a more traditional component style crossover such as the DD CC1? In no way am I questioning tried results. Or any ones knowledge and experience. Just trying to wrap my head around some of this stuff! Then I start thinking, how does a typical coax speaker keep proper resistance? Cause in a sense, just two speakers wired in parallel. Weird crap like this keeps me up at night.

In cave man talk, we have the math calculations that we use as a guide for planning purposes when stacking speaks in parallel but at the end of the day when u plug this stuff in it becomes the reality of the load within the system. With that being said, ur amp won't even know these tweets are there.

Coax have tweets right? Built in crossovers? Still 4 ohm?

I would not worry about the math for a component set and would simply consider the setup to be a 4 ohm package. Of course u can always upgrade the crossover but would make sure u verify the manufacture specs will meet your objective.

Just my cave man 2 sand pennies.

Thanks T! Sounds like you're spot on. Did some searching and found this.

Guess I'm not the only one trying to conceptualize.
In a nutshell " Impedance is a function of frequency"

I totally get the difference between parallel and series wiring. And the resistance consequences of each. The premise of my question was based on inability to grasp why this doesn't hold true for a mid bass and tweeter combo. Such as a typical coax speaker. But thanks for the diagram. I found a pretty good explanation at the DIY Audio link I posted following T's post.

Not that I know much but neither of those diagrams represents the way that I understand to wire the AW'S and the AT28'S. I was told to run a single wire and the Y the 2 wires maintaining polarity to the 6.5s and the AT28'S.

Amp out goes to butt spliced aw 6.5 and crossover "in" wires. Crossover "out" wires go to horns/ tweeters.

I think the above discussion is more so about resistance figures when wiring them the way u describe than it is about how to wire this specific set up.

Is this how u would wire them SF?
