CV or Mikuni
i have a dyna 2002, with CV carb and Vance exhaust, the ex owner, told me that the CV has been rejected for the Vance, and it looks there is the original filter.
Now i would like to put an open filter (K&N) and muffler (thunderheader), but i don't now if is better to rejected the CV or change it with a Mikuni hrs 42-18, that should be ready to go.
i have not experience with Dyna, because i had a sportster until 2 weeks ago
thank you for your help

The Mikuni is a great carb, and will provide better acceleration and infinite tuning capabilities. People aren't as familiar with it, so unless you understand tuning/jetting you may be better off with the CV... If you can buy it preconfigured, or follow the instructions you will be very happy with it.

The CV is perfectly adequate for your set-up. It will need some jetting changes. Lots of posts to help you with it.

I'm not an expert about tuning and jetting,my idea is,to change for now mufflers and air filter, and I wold like to know what I have to change in the carburator.
On my old bike I had carburator but I bought it used and it was already jetted.
Is it. possible to buy a Mikuni preconfigured?

It will run good out of the box, but a trip to a good tuner will get you more performance and improved ride ability. Doesn't come with extra jets. Recommend buying the Mikuni choke cable. Different than the stock HD cable and will avoid headaches.
