rejeting a S&S carb on a evo
guys I need some help, I have to rejet the S&S on the tour glide because she has a bad coff some guys call it a pop,i pull up to stop she runs good then she coffs an dies, the plugs are not black with buld up there more of a white like color witch tells me she can use some more fuel, so when I rejet her do I need to go one size bigger with the main and intermediate jets or just the main jet?

your post reads it pops, and dies at idle (stop?)
why wouldn't you adjust the (lowspeed mixture screw) idle ?.
last time I checked, the main is only changed for high (3/4 throttle and up )
rpm running .
(BTW most of your riding is on the lowspeed jet with varying amounts of intermediate jet.

But to answer your question. I started this thread because I need help.had I known what to do then I would not have asked for help.no one replayed with help so i played with it till I figured it out.seems like when you say FLT no one really want to put forth info but its all good now.
you received a answer in two days , how fast did you expect?

Stock setting would be...
Idle mixture screw 1 3/4 turns.. Anything more than 2 then you either have vacuum leaks or too small off an intermediate jet
Intermediate jet... .295
Main jet.... 70
Coughing through the carb is a lean condition and if I it's only off idle I would check the accelerator pump first. S&S web site has great directions our even S&S youtube vids..
And technically there is no point of 3/4 throttle for the Main jet. It's all controlled by your air bleed jet . it can come in as earlier or later depending on your main jet air bleed jet size

Sounds like you found the problem. Adjust it per the Super E manual. It's available on the S&S web site if you don't have it.
