Plausible or BUSTED?!?!.......Lemon Pledge myth?
So what's the skinny on the use of Lemon Pledge on our bikes. Paint, chrome, plastic, lexan, and everything else the bikes have on them?
Any long term disadvantage?....ie..yellowing, fading, dulling, etc...etc....to the aforementioned "parts"?
Any caustic hidden ingredient in the Pledge?

I'm having a hard time buying into thisPledge stuff for use on myscoot.[sm=alcoholic.gif]

I have used Pledge on my motor several times and it works really well. Makes it look new. I have not used it on paint, so I can't comment on that. I have wiped overspray off of chrome and it really shines. You don't have to use Lemon though, it comesunscented, too.

Official Response from S.E. Johnson Company
Here's the official reply regarding the use of Pledge on painted motorcycle surfaces:
Thank you for your e-mail. We always appreciate hearing from our consumers.
Unfortunately, PLEDGE® Lemon Furniture Polish has not been tested for use on painted
motorcycle finishes so we cannot recommend it. Please use the product according to label
directions as we cannot guarantee how the product will perform for uses or purposes other
than those we have tested.
My Question is: Why use pledge when there are many other tested and safe products to use?
Best Regards!
