Default Progressive Mono Tube for Dyna

I am looking to upgrade my front suspension on my 2010 FXDC with the Progressive Mono tube part number 31-2519. I have heard nothing but great reviews about it.
But when speaking with Progressive yesterday concerning the installation the informed me that the stock fork cap is no longer used.

Question, if any one has installed these do you have a good picture of the top end showing the mono tubes installed with out stock caps.

current best prices i have found
Phat Performance $ 274.95
Cycleplicity $269.97

I'm looking at the same ones. Probably won't find much better pricing than that.

I personally haven't read any good reviews on the Progressive monotubes. In fact from what I've read here, I wouldn't have any interest in the product. Just do a search. Here's a couple of fairly recent threads:

I agree with Rich. I was going to go this route but the general consensus was that they aren't worth the money even at that price point. A few people even pulled there setups and sold them in the classified's to go a different route.

The only time I've heard good things about this setup was from people who had -05 bikes. Maybe progressive did something with the 49mm front ends that didn't work out to good for them.

Guys i agree with you i have seen a lot of both negative and positive feedback from members concerning the Mono tubes. Have been on the fence trying to decide for about a month about going this route. Still unsure.
Thanks for your feedback

Unfortunately the more adjustment suspension has the more opportunity for it to be set up incorrect.

Let's try and make this right. We stand behind our product more so than most manufacturers (lifetime guarantees, crew on the road training dealers, five in-house tech support guys, etc).

Ricerocket PM us and we'll send you a cartridge kit to test. Gratis. Don't like it? Send it back. If you do, share it here on the forum.

We'll even help walk you through set up.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Certainly a respectable offer. Good for Progressive steping up. Hopefully they can make it work for him.
