Default 2011 street bob fender swap

Long time reader first time poster here. I have a 2011 street bob that had the big rear brake light on the fender which cracked. I swapped it for a fender from a 2014 bob without the brake light. Before i did the swap my turn signals were run/stop and turn. So i was just going to use them as the brake lights also. But now i dont have brake lights. Run and turn only. The wires that were plugged into the old brake light arent plugged into anything now. How do i get my turn signals to be brake lights again? Do i splice the old brake light wires to the turn signals? Or Do i need an stt module? Im not real good with electrical stuff. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

It should still work. I did the same on my 09 bob and the rear turns worked just fine. I'd say double check connections.

Fuses are good. I changed handle bars at the same time i did the fender. Dont know if i could have pinched a wire there and messed it up or what. Not sure what i did lol..... What did you do with the wires for the old brake light?

Check your bulbs also, as simple as that sounds. When I changed my wife's handle bars, the turns and brakes were out on one side. Changed the bulbs and they were fixed.

I removed the brake light lead from the harness (where it plugs in under the seat). I reused the running light and ground that was for the taillight, and used them to power a side mount license plate. If u run a side mount plate with a brake light in it, these extra leads will be perfect!

Did you verify that your foot brake does or doesn't fire off the brake lights? It's easy to damage the brake light switch on the handlebars.

Yes foot brake doesnt work either. I ordered a wiring harness for a '14. Going to see if that might work

Did you have to do any modification to the fender for it to fit? looking to swap my 2011 for a 2013 rear fender.

No mods. Just remove the taillight wires from the harness.
