Just waiting on paint, mounted right up. I hated the big *** stock fender. Now I am trying to sell it to someone with a fatboy, they look really good on fatboys and mount right up.

 

Wow, that looks great! I remember seeing someone had taken a Fatboy fender and mounted it to the FLD and also looked good. Does the Slim use the same size front tire as the FLD? Any tire clearance issues from the tire to the fender?

 

Prepare to bend over. Big Blue Pearl is expensive as hell to have painted...

Rim size on slim is smaller 16" but uses a bigger tire, clearance is about the same as when the stock on was on.

 

I was waiting for a post that did a sleeker fender on the FLD. I've thought about this many times. Looks great!

 

I picked up a Softail slim fender already Ember Red Sunglow on eBay for my daughters Switchback as a Christmas gift. She wanted a smaller fender and this will bolt right up.

 

Huge improvement in looks!!!! That front fender is the only thing I don't like on the Switchback and probably kept me from purchasing a nearly new 2014 when I ended up getting my FXDC. If the bikes are used for real touring though that stock front fender is the way to go unless you want a lap full of rain water!

 

Here it is powdercoated satin black. My whole front end is blacked out, I have some dkcustom black bullet front blinkers I will be installing this week.

 

I just could not get over the looks of the stock front on my bike so I put a fender off a softail slim on there, mounted right up. The fatboy front fits as well. I just got it powdercoated for now cause a flat dark gray paint job is in the works. I guess I changed up a few things as well. I hate the looks of a stock switchback.
